Overview:

Once you have your Business Manager set up, you’re ready to begin creating your ad in earnest. Before you begin, make sure that you have content selected, and an objective for the ad campaign in mind.

Summary:

  • There are three layers to creating a Facebook ad: campaign, ad set, and ad;
  • Choosing the right objective is a key part of setting up any Facebook ad campaign;
  • You can create an ad from a previously existing post on your page, or by uploading content directly to the Business Manager.

Please note: if more than 20% of an image (or the thumbnail image of a video) is taken up by text, Facebook’s algorithm will prevent the ad from running.
